Fireplace Make Over

My client's home started out with lovely fireplaces that were made of cement.  She liked them originally - but was ready for a change.

~ Here's an up-close of the cement "before" ~

~ "During" - after the primer had been applied ~

~ Voila! Total transformation to look like travertine marble with a flat finish.  She didn't want 'glossy'. ~

~ Her other fireplace. ~
~ She had asked someone else to paint it a brownish color.  But she was never happy with it.  It was too plain with no detail.  ~

~ After!  With the added detail it really brings the fireplace to life.  And this matches her décor perfectly. ~

Just another example of how you can transform the look of a room with paint and for a reasonable cost.

Home & Garage Door Make Over

I am so pleased with how this home turned out - and more importantly... so is my client!

Can you believe that THIS:

Started out looking like this?

I started with the metal garage doors.  We stained them to look like wood.  I love the "Tommy Bahama" look!

Here's an up close of the doors:

Garage Door and faux brick work complete on the front of the house.  My client is going to paint the wood trim a darker color to complement to faux wood garage door.

I painted this faux brick work on the front interior courtyard walls.

I'm super pleased with the results!  My client is too.
Now, on to the cement sidewalks.  We're going to make them look like slate!

Fleur De Lis Inlaid Patio

~ This was a plain cement landing.  My clients asked me transform it into stone look.  Here is the AFTER ~

~ Here is the BEFORE ~

~ The primer coat has been applied ~

~ A close up look before the sealer coat was applied ~

~ I love the fleur de lis "inlaid tiles" I created ~

Matching Window Treatments

~ These clients had requested faux painting throughout much of their home.  After painting the vines around the home, they asked if I could make window treatments to match.  Here are the results ~

~ Here is part of their kitchen around the pantry door ~

~ This collage shows (although from a slightly different angle) the windows and surrounding area BEFORE and AFTER ~

~ Another area which was faux painted.  The arches have been painted to look like stone work. ~

Hide-A-Cabinet

~ My clients have this galvanized cabinet outside their home which houses the hot water heater.  They wanted to find a way to make it blend in with the home, rather than stand out so prominently. ~
~ I was able to faux paint rocks on the cabinet to help it blend in with the surroundings. ~
~ And, on this side - a little touch of whimsy.  I added some geraniums to match those in their yard. ~

Taylor's Bar & Grill

I was recently asked to transform Taylor's in Redlands, and to give it a lot of character
Using my faux techniques to create a "rustic feel" - Taylor's now has lots of character - and looks like it's an old brick building.  Let's take a look at some fun "before's" and "after's"!
 Before of the front entrance
A work in progress - adding all of the hand painted bricks
Front entrance with faux painted front door
The sign - before - but after the wood had begun it's transformation from green to a more natural dark brown wood finish.
The sign on the east side of the building - after the faux technique

I added a topiary by the front door
Complete with faux cigarette butts in the planter
The owner has to sweep up cigarette butts from the walk way all the time... let them try to sweep this one up!
Another view of the front entrance.  This was while the work was in progress and before I had begun painting the front door.
The brick look was added to the famous smoking room as well!

This is the East Side Entrance
Notice the greenery "growing" under the eves

Another view of the entrance and greenery
One more look at the finished front entrance - complete with antique green shutters from Maine.

This was a great job - and I loved doing it.  I am so pleased with how we were able to transform Taylor's into a rustic antique looking brick building!  Full of character and fun place to hang out.  Hey, the food is really good too!

Windows Windows Everywhere

Windowless Room? Not a problem.

You can have a beautiful window added to any room - and the view can be that of your choice! Here are some windows that have been painted into rooms for my clients.

Grapevines

~ A very popular look is grapevines. I've done them for many clients in many different styles. These grapevines were done in a wine cellar along with faux brick. ~
~ Another corner of the wine cellar. They installed metal ceilings. They really completed the look. ~

~ This was a plywood table in the wine cellar that I painted to look like hand layed ceramic tiles ~
~ I've also added grapevines to some of the window treatments that I created. This is a very popular look with the faux background on the canvas. ~
~ And a few more random shots of various grapevines that I've "created" over the years ~
