Cabinet Transformation

This transformation exceeded my expections. The clients wanted to change their cabinets by painting them with a Silver Taupe finish.

~ Here's a before photo ~

~ And another... but just wait for the change! ~
~ What a difference! ~
~ The finish compliments the counter top and appliances so lovely. ~
~ I painted the inside of the built in china cabinet black. ~
~ The china stands out beautifully on the black background. ~

Windows Windows Everywhere

Windowless Room? Not a problem.

You can have a beautiful window added to any room - and the view can be that of your choice! Here are some windows that have been painted into rooms for my clients.

My Kitchen - Part 1

Being an artist, and faux painting my clients homes and businesses all day - I don't often have the time or energy to add my creative touches to my own home.  However, I recently moved into a home that was built in the 1970's - and it was in desperate need of a "face lift".  Here is what I have done with my kitchen counters and back splash.

~ 1970's Butcher Block Formica Counter tops - Before, also note the dark cabinet color ~

~ Kitchen Counter tops After ~

~ They have been faux painted to look like granite ~

~ And I've added pressed copper tiles for the back splash  ~

~ I'm pretty pleased with how the counter tops, back splash, and painted cabinets have all come together ~

My Kitchen - Part 2

And here is my "new" kitchen.  "Ta-Da"!
A definite improvement over the 1970's orange and yellow chicken wallpaper.

This type of a "face lift" gives whole new life to a room.  And it costs FAR less money than replacing the cabinets and counter tops.

Playworks

Playworks, in Redlands, allowed me to come work some magic with a long hallway.  They wanted a "Bug Garden" theme.  Here's what we came up with.  I think it's quite whimsical!

Little Girls Room

This design was created for a little girl's room... but it could certainly be done for a creative nursery!

Inviting Bathroom

Here is a Guest Bathroom whose colors were inspired by the slate tile and copper metallic sink.

~ The walls were a blend of glazes over a muted green, to go with the slate tile ~

~ The ceiling was painted copper with metallic to compliment her copper mosaic sink, which you can see in the next picture ~

~ The room was finished off with detail in the corners of the ceiling to compliment the detail in the lighting fixtures ~

The Gates

Dave Clem designs and creates these fabulous metal gates.  He asked me to paint the detail on them.
When they are connected to the fencing and "in place" in the outdoors, you can see the sky through the opening - where the sky should be.
Here's a photo taken outside with the sun shining on it.  I'm really pleased with how they turned out.  He's taking the gates to the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach, CA.

Gorgeous Entry Way

Here are pictures from a job I did a few years ago. What an impressive entry way. It was 25 feet tall.
~ Here's a "before" shot ~
~ And after ~

~ love this ceiling ~

~ All of the woodwork was glazed in dark tones ~
~ And each archway was faux painted to look like stone work ~
~ Finally, the guest bathroom was painted to match the landscaping outside ~

Handpainted Wallpaper

My daughter chose this graphic design for her dining room. It depicts the handpainted wallpaper look from years ago. I had oodles of fun doing this for her. She challenges me to grow in design.
