I am so pleased with how this home turned out - and more importantly... so is my client!

Started out looking like this?

I started with the metal garage doors.  We stained them to look like wood.  I love the "Tommy Bahama" look!

 

Here's an up close of the doors:

 

Garage Door and faux brick work complete on the front of the house.  My client is going to paint the wood trim a darker color to complement to faux wood garage door.

 

I painted this faux brick work on the front interior courtyard walls. 

 

I'm super pleased with the results!  My client is too. 

Now, on to the cement sidewalks.  We're going to make them look like slate! 

Patio Wall Transformation

Last year I created a patio space for my lovely clients.  Click HERE to view that transformation.  This year they asked that their patio wall be transformed to match the patio - complete with faux painted Mexican Tiles.

 

~ Here is the "before" of the wall ~

~ First step - I painted the wall yellow and the drainage pipe bronze, with some "aging" added ~

~ The wall has been faux painted ~

~ The trim has been painted orange and we've added the turquoise blue shutters that have been "aged" with bronze paint.  Also, the new "inlaid" Mexican Tiles have been added - which match those on their patio floor. ~

 

~ Ta Dah!  The finished product!  What a transformation! ~

 

Fleur De Lis Inlaid Patio

~ This was a plain cement landing.  My clients asked me transform it into stone look.  Here is the AFTER ~

Patio with Spanish Tile

My clients wanted to transform their 700 square foot cement deck into a "paver look" with inlaid Spanish Tile.

~ The coat of primer .  I used tape to create grout lines ~

~ Faux Painted and removing some of the tape to reveal the grout lines ~

Leopard Print Volkswagen Ragtop

My friend owns the cutest beige VW Ragtop.  She thought it needed a little pizazz and wondered if I could paint leopard spots on the top.  I said, "Sure! Why not!"

The entire job was completed in a few hours.  She looked so classy and cute driving away this afternoon.  She said she got lots of approving looks on the drive home.

Faux Brick Pathway

The above photo was the first "brick" pathway that I faux painted 15 years.  It's still holding up beautifully all these years later.

This photo is MY new "brick" pathway, that is still a work in progress.  I'm enjoying the transformation.

The Gates

 Dave Clem designs and creates these fabulous metal gates.  He asked me to paint the detail on them.

 When they are connected to the fencing and "in place" in the outdoors, you can see the sky through the opening - where the sky should be.

 Here's a photo taken outside with the sun shining on it.  I'm really pleased with how they turned out.  He's taking the gates to the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach, CA.

Outdoor Columns
